As our feet move upon the earth, the earth recognises who we are and Who it is that we carry. It recognises the love we give, the hope we speak, and the joy written upon the tablets of our hearts. As our feet fall upon mountains and valleys, dirt paths and grass, we carry the Greatest of all gardeners within us and—like Him—we create gardens wherever we go…
One particular evening, I had fallen asleep kind of early, but was awoken just before midnight by two voices talking on either side of my bed in a language I didn’t understand. They were deep, strong, melodic voices and as they talked, I could feel love and holiness (I can’t explain what holiness feels like, only that I didn’t know whether I should stay still, sit up, or even dare to put my feet on the ground) moving from whichever dimensions they were stood in, and in through to my room…
What do you fear? Sickness? Death? Financial ruin? Relationship breakups? Fears like these are based on earthly judgment systems that have real consequences according to earth’s laws and legalities.
We tend to lean heavily on our own understanding even though we have alternatively been given an invitation to lean into His solutions by acknowledging Him in all parts of our worlds. We have an opportunity to hand over our own conclusions and summations and to incline our ears to His heart….
Next time you look up at the stars and catch a little shimmer, or a ripple of light, remember: that one star is singing out into the expanse of time and space about how much our God is love and about how much He loves every part of creation.
You will. You must. In your government you trust. No questions here. No dissenting there. You’re bound by order, not by care. Do this or you’re selfish. Do that cause you’ve no choice…
